SKINPULSE
Tattoo removal

GOAL

Destroy selectively and specifically the pigment introduced under the skin during tattooing decorative or accidental.

PRINCIPLE

Using a specific wavelength (1064 or 532 nanometers depending on the color of the pigment) that will be exclusively absorbed by pigment molecules contained in certain cells in the DermIS (fibroblasts). This leads to an explosion of these molecules and their fragmentation. Thus, these pigment molecules will be as scattered and removed by the internal road system, with an inflammatory response.

BEST INDICATIONS
All types of decorative tattoos, amateur or professional, accidental (bitumen pavement), traumatic (gun powder) and permanent make-up (PMU).

The color that gives the best results is black (sometimes  blue-black if done with China ink). Red responds well sometimes, and sometimes not at all. A laser test is performed on a small area. Mixtures of colors such as orange and purple respond significantly less well, sometimes not at all. Green, ocean blue, turquoise, yellow and complicated mixtures in principle any leave. Note that some colors, mainly beige, may turn black after the laser impact. This new color cannot be cleared. Currently, there is no laser guaranteeing in advance the complete disappearance of all colors.

METHOD
Intervention is practised at the doctor’s Office, without anaesthesia. The duration of the appointment depends on the surface to be treated, from 5 to 30 minutes. The felt pain is roughly comparable to that of the tattoo itself, to the machine.

AVOID ABSOLUTELY
Avoid sun exposure direct, extended, especially in the summer. The best is to protect the area treated with a bandage or clothing, especially during the crusting period.

Avoid scratching the small scabs (crusts ) that form after the session.

In summary:

An amateur tattoo of China ink will require 2 to 6 sessions to be erased.A tattoo professional, former Black (over 10 years) the ink will require 8-12 sessions to be erased. A black professional ‘flash’ tattoo,  recent (less than 10 years old) will demand at least 15 (and up to 25!) sessions to be erased. The sessions are spaced at least two months apart. No guarantee of a total elimination of the pigment may be considered at any time of the laser treatment.

ATTENTION

The key to success for a good aesthetic result is sufficient time between sessions.  At the beginning of the treatment a minimum of 2 months between each session will be applied.  Later, this interval will be increased to 3-4 months, or even more in some cases.

Decorative tattooing is not a disease. No insurance or institution will pay the processing fee. These are to be met entirely by the patient. Payment is asked after the end of each Tattoo laser session.
